Kia ora koutou katoa,
Kia ora mai tātou kātoa, Week 8 is upon us and winter has arrived with chilly/frosty mornings and so far this week, brilliant blue sky days!
Winter Sports:
These are well underway and hats off to the parent taxis, coaches, managers, uniform washers, and cheerleaders! Don’t forget to share any results you have with Di in the office if you would like them published in the newsletter. We don’t share personal photos via the newsletter as formatting them can be time-consuming and tricky so keep those for sharing within your whānau.
Mānawatia a Matariki Celebration – last day of term:
Students and staff are working on their items for our Matariki Celebration day on Friday 30th June. We hope you have popped this in your calendars, we can’t wait to see share our learning with our whānau and there will even be opportunities for you to get involved when you visit the hubs in the morning. Closer to the date we will send out a form to get an idea of how many we are catering for so keep an eye out for that.
Interschool Cross Country:
Last week I went with a small group of students to compete in this competition. One of our students had a podium finish (see below) and the team overall gave it their very best, it was a very competitive event.
Tomorrow is Go Green Day:
Our Enviro Group goes into overdrive tomorrow! Our classes are geared up to do a variety of Green Day related activities that highlight the importance of taking care of our planet. Children can wear green if they would like to. We are grateful to Whaea Claire and her team for doing the mahi behind the scenes to make sure there are lots of great learning opportunities to choose from!
