Malo e lelei,
Welcome to week 8 and (fingers crossed) the start of the spring weather. The past two weeks have been a whirlwind with so many things on the go but our tamariki are happy and loving all the opportunities and they are the reason we do what we do!
This is a newsletter with lots of ‘thank you’s’. The problem with thanking people is that you always inadvertently leave someone out! If we have done so, please accept our apologies and reach out so we can make sure we are showing our gratitude.
A gigantic thanks go to the BSSG who were instrumental in the success of hosting the Rangitikei Tough Kids event. Over $7000 was raised! We have some feedback from our tamariki about what that could be spent on – they have some very grand plans!
We are excited about hosting our Pet & Agriculture Day on the last day of term. We have a draft plan which we have shared with you below. Our lamb and calf entries are all in. Please note that due to the low number of calf entries we received we have combined the junior and senior class for judging. All of the entrants we have have been notified about this.
We are excited to have put together a timetable that includes elements of traditional lamb and calf judging, showing off other pets as well as sharing our enviroschools journey. As a finale to the day we have a mini-concert with a Pet & Agriculture Theme – you really won’t want to miss it!
If you are bringing ‘other’ pets please make sure you have registered them by collecting a form from the office from tomorrow onwards.
